Easing of some dental restrictions Coronavirus Covid 19 as Australia flattens the curve

May 2020 has seen Australia flattening the curve with new Covid-19 Coronavirus infections falling drastically. As a result of this the Dental Council of NSW has announced an easing of restrictions on dental treatments allowing more procedures under extremely controlled circumstances.

This is not a return to normal and as a community and as a dental practice we must remain vigilant to avoid transmission of Covid-19 Coronavirus.

On top of our already strict regime of multiple autoclaves for sterilisation of equipment, we have implemented social distancing in our waiting room by staggering appointments and having fewer clinicians operating at any one time in our practice. Most of the time you won’t see another patient in our practice when you attend under our current protocol. All patients are provided with hand sanitiser on entry and for the most part you will be ushered straight into the treatment room after you hand sanitise.

We thank you for your understanding in this difficult time for all Australians and indeed the world. Together we hope that our continued vigilance will mean further easing of restrictions, and a quicker return to normal. Thank you once again to our wonderful dental family of patients and our amazing staff.
